MERRY CHRISTMAS

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We are so thankful for our wonderful family, friends and the many blessings God has placed in our lives.

We started off on Christmas Eve at Mamaw and Papaw Moose's,where Zachary and Cousin Natalie sang to us. Natalie forgot the words for a minute, but she recovered!

Pregnancy Update

Well, we have approached Week 26!
Mommy's sickness is better most of the time,
and, thank God, her back hasn't bothered her much at all.
Our excitement is growing as we close in on the final 14 weeks.
Hannah Grace is getting strong and is kicking a lot,
especially when Daddy or Big Brother talks to her!

Hannah Grace's crib is set up and ready for her arrival.
She will have to share our bedroom like Zachary did for awhile.
Then she will have her own room. I'm sure pink will be involved...

Thanks to, Rhonda, the daughter of our friend, Audrey Gantt,
for giving us this wonderful bedding for our little girl.

Away in a manger...

Abernethy's Christmas program was a success this year.
It was a full house. Fuller than normal after the daycare was
forced to merge the two halves of the show.
(Boy, after Hannah Grace is born, that will be a long day!)
Zach was not bashful at all this year.
As far as he was concerned, he was the only one on stage.
As far as his Dad and Mom are concerned
"Away In a Manger" never sounded so sweet.

...and with Nanny and Pop.

Pre-Christmas Celebrations

We start the Christmas season early in the Moose household.
We have to, with as much family as we have!
While Daddy was (sadly) attending Appalachian's final playoff game
of the season, Mom & Zach were having a big Pre-Christmas Day!
First Stop:
Santa paid a visit to all the boys and girls at Valley Hills Mall.
They enjoyed breakfast with Santa and a ride on the carrousel.
With Cousin Natalie & Nanny
After breakfast with Santa Claus,
Mom and Zach went to the Christmas Parade in the
large metropolis of Claremont, NC.

He obviously loved the firetruck...
(but what boy doesn't???)

" Now, Mom...do I REALLY need this blanket?
I can weather 6 hours at an ASU tailgate and football game,
but you think it's too cold for an hour-long parade???
I'm just sayin'..."
The next day, we celebrated Christmas with the Eagle's.
(Mamaw Moose's family)
And yes...we are watching
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Auntie Anna and all the cousins investigate the mystery of Dora the Explorer.

Papaw checking out Zach's favorite present (of the day).

Pajama Day

Friday was Pajama Day at Abernethy CDC.
Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, except THIS TIME!
Somehow, we missed the memo that it was PJ Day.
I took Zachary to school and utter dread filled his heart...
He looked up at me with crocodile tears flowing and said,
"Dad, I'm the only one not wearing pajamas".
Being the great father that I am, I immediately took him home and
changed him into his favorite Transformers pajamas.
Poor guy...he's already learned what it means to be embarrassed.

No tears now as he settles in to work on a puzzle.

Zachary and Benjamin are ready for breakfast.
