Wow! What a special trip this was!!!
I took Zachary on his first real camping trip
for 2 nights on May 13th and 14th.
We camped at Stone Mountain State Park
in Roaring Gap, NC.
If you've never been, you need to go!
We had such a great time, I will have to
let the pictures speak for themselves
for the most part.
This is probably my favorite shot
of Zachary from this weekend.
He was big stuff helping me pitch the tent!
Zach was much like Tom Hanks in "Castaway"...

I let Zach have the camera some of the time.
This is a really cool picture he took.
This was the starting point of our hike,
AFTER we hiked nearly a half-mile in
to get here!
(6 miles later, we made it back here...barely!)
This little guy was nice enough to
let me take this picture.
I had to get REALLY close to him
since he was about 3" long from head to tail!
A proud moment for me happened right here.
This was taken from the very top of Stone Mountain.
Zachary looked out across this sight and remarked,
"Wow, Dad...God made all of this, just for
us to climb up here and see it!"
(Speechless....)
